Hi. This is me.I'm Garrett, I run this little show. That's a bad picture of me, but they all are, so deal. If you've been coming around for a while, you know I spent a good chunk of time up in Boston, but I recently wised up and moved on to NYC. Its a little bigger and a little better. I also gave up the consulting lifestyle in moving here, trading life on the road for stability and a bigger paycheck. I now work for an investment bank, which is a much sweeter gig than it may seem. Don't worry, I'm still a geek! When I'm not working, I spend most of my time enjoying what this amazing city has to offer or playing poker. Its a pretty good life, all and all... garrettwalker.com I bought garrettwalker.com back in 1999 and I got around to getting some content up. Pretty lame, I know, but I am trying to make up for it. So for the time being, this is a haven for my daily newsletter, Today@. As I get time and motivation (and content), some more stuff should show up. today@ Today@ started as a daily team email on my first project at my former employer, Sapient Corp. I don't even know the guy who started it. But during my time on that project, serveral people carried the Today@ torch. When the project finshed up, I didn't want to see Today@ go with it, so I took over sending this beast out every day. And I've been doing it since May 2000 and plan to keep doing it as long as people are sending me content to publish. |
